Newcomers of all ages, male or female are always welcome. Children can also join over 11-years but most be accompanied by an adult.
From May to September, we dance at a variety of venues, usually at a local pub every other Thursday evening, but also at summer fairs and events occasionally on a Saturday.
All you will need to get started is casual clothes for practice. We are currently in the process of changing our dance out kit for the 2023 season so there is no kit at this present time but new kit for dancing out will be available in 2023.
We charge an annual subscription of approx. £30 for the year which includes all practices however this is subject to change each year. Newcomers will receive free sessions as a taster and a subsidised yearly fee after that.
Plymouth clog (formally known as Plymouth Maids) has been going for 40 years as a club and we dance a variety of dances to a live folk band. These are traditional northwest clog dances. We also do half hourly step-clogging sessions for those that wish to learn step-clogging.
